Sgraffito Mugs in Progress

I started working on a new batch of stoneware mugs this past weekend. I decided to make use of a bottle of white underglaze that got contaminated when someone replaced the cap with one from a bottle of black. So I painted the un-fired mugs with the light-gray slip and sgraffito carved these Asian-inspired designs into the mugs.

It will be interesting to see how they turn out, as I plan to dip them in various celadon glazes, including the traditional green variety.
